Focused content, sooner
Going forward, I am announcing content as soon as it is published, rather than waiting for this monthly newsletter. Subscribers may get more updates each month but each will be more focused and a quicker read.
Why? It has to do with search engines, mostly. A monthly newsletter that is part personal update, part content release, and part themed article confuses search engines. My hope is that this new approach should make things easier for readers too.
I will use the featured image above for future issues of Wanderer's Tales. I like this image and think it works for a wandering storyteller.
Long read articles will have unique titles and images, and will cover a specific topic in greater depth. I expect to release a few of those each year because of the amount of time it takes to write them.
New content update
In May I released the map of Runonia, a continent on the planet Kishana, the setting for my novel Shield of the Goddess.

I started writing Chapter 14, which will introduce a new viewpoint character, Morak, the main antagonist of the book, and a new location, Sketh. The chapter isn't finished yet, but I will release it as soon as it's ready.
Personal update
This month I got more paid freelance writing and editing work. So far I am balancing this work with my fiction writing and family time.
With summer approaching, and our ten year old nephew soon to be out of school, and multiple summer camps, family time tends to take over, so I usually get less fiction writing done in the summer. I'll continue to release Wanderer's Tales on a monthly cadence though.
