New content update
In June I completed Chapter Fourteen of Shield of the Goddess, the adult fantasy novel I am publishing here as a web serial. This chapter introduces several new characters, including Morak, the main antagonist viewpoint character of the book, and takes readers to a new location, Sketh.

I updated the People and Places page with the new names and how to pronounce them.

I added a new section my Books page on how to read my book chapters.
I also updated my Recommendations page with writers and musicians I’ve connected to recently, and added several book reviews.
Personal update
Our family went to a summer camp for Memorial Day weekend. I gave an advanced guitar workshop. I shared three songs from three countries in three different tunings in one hour. I had a lot of fun and made new friends.
At the same camp I played and sang the Seikilos Epitaph, from the arrangement I released here last year, as part of a medley based on this lovely arrangement for harp by Jennifer Pratt-Walter.
Also this month, my Map of Runonia was displayed in a maps exhibit in the foyer of my church.
Reminders and gratitudes
In Issue #15, I mentioned that next year all the chapters I released in 2025, (except Chapter One, which will always be public), meaning Chapter Two through Chapter Nine, will need a paid subscription to access them. If you haven’t already read that far, you have six months to binge read and catch up.
Do visit my Recommendations page for selected authors, bookstores, coaches, musicians, news outlets, and service providers I like. Also check out my Book Reviews on StoryGraph.
If you're a new visitor, please sign up to stay up to date and receive emails when I publish new content.
Finally, thanks to all of my subscribers. Your support keeps me motivated and I appreciate it very much.
See you on the road!
